BT Handsfree grom or USA Spec?
I have a 03 ES330 with Navigation. It has the 6 disc changer and no controls on the wheel. I want to add Bluetooth handsfree and the streaming from my iphone. I'm looking at both the Grom http://www.cushieaudio.com.au/lexus-ipd3.html and the USA Spec on Amazon. Has anyone used either or both to determine hands free quality and the ability to still use my changer.
thanks in advance

I've had a GROM USB2P-TOY with the Bluetooth adapter in my '05 ES for 2 months now. Very very happy. Works awesome with my Droid Razr Maxx. Well worth the money. I took my changer out, no loss. With Pandora and music on your iPhone, why would you need it anymore?

I got the Grom Saturday. Put it in today. It pairs and shows at BT stream when I hit the cd changer button, UNFORTUNATELY the stream doesn't play through the speakers and the handsfree calling isn't coming through the speakers either. I pulled the top off the Grom and the light stays solid red. I'll be sending it back tomorrow.

I ended up sending the Grom back. The initial problem keeping it from being heard was a forgotten 2 pin jumper. They sent me a jumper and magically sound and calls were able to happen. The downside was it muted my existing AM/FM/IN Dash CD so I had to turn them to MAX to get any output.
I purchased the USA-SPEC from Crutchfield. The unit plugs into a different port and uses DIP switches to determine where the sound can be heard. I set it to come from SAT Radio which allows my changer to still be connected. Everything worked on installation. I am now testing it as the people I am talking to hear a slight echo. I assume it is from the speakers in the car when they are speaking. The streaming works really good. I rate the BT function as acceptable right now.
