i know this is a very old thread but i think everyone should know.

my ucf20 ls 400 temperature range was fluctuating (sometimes upper half in traffic and lower half at speed) even after thermostat replacement, the culprit was the "serviced" fan clutch from the previous owner, after replacing it with gs400 fan clutch (different part num. but exact same part), the temperature is exactly at the middle mark (at traffic, raining, at speed).

i live in Jakarta, the temperature is around 86 degrees Fahrenheit average.
