Default Needle swap?

Do you guys think that the older (LED type) needles can be swapped with the later 97 -01 needles. I was thinking about it and then perhaps put a hyper white LED to light the new needles. Any ideas?

Thanks

i'm not sure how that would work. which LED needles are you referring to? the old ones on the first gen ES's aren't LED... and the 97-2001 aren't either. so i don't know where you'd get LED needles... unless i'm missing somethin about our first gen needles i should know about...

I just loosely called the older/earlier ES needles as the LED's. The later needles (es300 97-01) were normal ones like Corolla or camry etc. So I was thinking that if I could swap the newer needles into the older style instrument cluster and use some hyper white higher power bulbs (some people use LED's for the compact design) to power the new needles (from the 97-01 ES) so that they are bright enough for the old style instrument cluster. Does anyone think it is possible?
For me the Tach and the speedo needles are out completely. I just guess where the dark line (of the needle) is to judge the speed and tach. I have actually gotten pretty good at it.
Thanks
