Default Lowering springs for 98es

Hey, I was thinking about ordering some Tanabe Lowering springs, but not sure if there is a better brand? Other than that do you guys have any tips? That may help me!

-Thanks in advance!

How important is the ride quality to you? I would stick with your stock suspension, IMO. I would also advise getting wheels first or instead, they will be much more noticeable than any body kits or lowering springs.

Clean ES BTW.

Better off getting coils.

It seems to cost more upfront, but it doesn't. I never ended up caring to lower the car in the end, but if i did it would've been coilovers.

You can get a set for ~1k or spend 3-400$ on springs, then installation and down time [~300$]. Then you risk the springs blowing the struts making it an even worse ride - back to the shop for new struts made for lowering springs & install, there's 600$, etc... plus all the hardware.

Get coilovers, unless you're set on lowering a little bit....

All of that. If you care about ride quality, I would stay stock.

I have the Tanabe springs with Tokico struts and the ride is dreadful.

I have Eibach's on my ES300 and i just sold my Dropzone/S.Tech combo for my Avalon. both are sporty rides and i can easily withstand 3+ hour drives in either car.

LOL, you guys wanna talk about ride quality let me tell you about mines, 12k 10k spring set up is wonderful, great thing is you feel everything on the road, even almost a hairline crack, dont mind the jolts you get when you hit the reflectors on the floor or go over a dip

With that out of the way hahaha, if you do plan on going lower, then save you self the time and money and get coilovers. now if you do not plan to go lower, you just want the car to sit better and handle a little better, then get springs and some struts that can "take" lowering springs.

I mean you want the biggest drop for the buck, KSport springs. Ride quality I mean, for me i didnt really notice the discomfort of having lowering springs. Felt almost like stock to me.

This is jut my 2 cent

Come to think of it, ES BLI55 is selling a bunch of parts off his white ES300, coiloiver included.

OP, buy those, and you're spending the cost of getting lowering springs & installing, but you get coilovers.
