The red looks nice. I cleared my rear turn signals a little while ago and put the orange bulbs in. I think it looks better than with the orange, a little more updated, current look. The signals are a tad more yellow-orange than they were before when blinking, but it still looks orange, I doubt anyone else would notice it. I should be getting the pictures back tomorrow and putting them up on my sounddomain page, maybe I'll try put one up in this thread too.

IMO, you'll need to drop the car even with 17's, it just won't look right. A general rule of thumb is that if the fender gap is wider than the sidewall of the tire, it'll look real funny and I think even 17's would violate that rule. The 1.8" drop should work out real well, there's still a little gap with my 1.6, but I think somewhere in that range is about right; I usually don't like the look of being slammed right on the tires either.

Here's a pic of my cleared rear corners. Not the best pic but it's what I've got. There's another pic of the rears and more pics of my car at the link I just put in my signature, so hopefully it's working.

I definately like the clear tails, although they were a little more difficult and risky to do than the headlights. Just take your time and be careful, and it's not too bad.

I recently cleared my headlights and had wonderful results and now I'm looking to do the rear lights. What can you guys tell me about doing the back? I recall something about plastic tabs going from one piece to the other. Where are these tabs, and how did you guys do the opening?

There are a couple tiny metal pins along the outside, I had a hard time getting them out so I left them and didn't open the light all the way. Just enough to pull out the bar that the turn signal and backup lights are in. Be real careful, the taillights are alot more fragile than the headlights.

BTW, just washed my car today, both of my taillights are getting a little bit of water in them right where they bend, I'll have to take them out and reseal those spots.

Nice car. I have a 1997 ES300 and I have been trying to find clear corners for ever. Where did you get them from?

Thanks

www.autodynamic.com has clear corners for your 97 model. $70 I believe.

Good luck
