Tell me what you think!!!

Expect chromes some time soon. Most likely 17", or 18" with 1.8 " drop if CASH FLOW is good

nice Xenon! haven't seen your car on the board much lately. seems like you've had your work cut out. can't wait to see that thing dropped and rollin' on rims. great car, Xenon!

Thumbs up

I really like the look of the all-red tails, especially from a distance. I think all-red would look a lot cleaner on '95-'96 models like yours than it would on a '92-'94. So now does your turn signal at the back blink red?

looks very nice and uniform, in other words.......smooth.

one question, do your backup lights light up red now, too? If so, do you still have enough illumination to see?

Thanks for the input so far!

I like to keep the ride clean, and I feel the red tails gave it a simple, clean, and elegant look (I hope ). To answer the questions, yes the signals blink red, matching the tailights. The reverse light is red but occasionally 'pink'..heheh depending on the angle. The illumination is excellent, haven't had any problems thus far....although it would be cool to see the reaction on peoples' faces who are behind me when I'm backing up...."what the hell...why it be red???"

I have an STB on the way from ebay. As far as rims go, I'm definately hooked on the THICK 5-star CHROME look. I'm having trouble finding rims in this style, any recommenations?

Next issue is whether to go with 17s or 18s. I guess 17s would allow a smoother ride and not have as bad a wheel gap (lifted look) as larger rims do, meaning I might be able to get away with not dropping it. On the other hand 18s look much better, but they look lifted and that requires spending more $$$ on a drop.

Just venting my plans, feel free to drop me some suggestions, I really appreciate the input from CL people....thanks

What strut tower brace are you getting? Let me know how it works, I'm waiting until I can find one that has no clearance issues. Can't seem to find the TRD bar for sale anywhere, either.

The $13.95 STB, advertised as 92-96 Camry ES300 Strut Tower Brace.

Shipping is $13.00, in total a $27 purchase, not bad considering most STBs go for about $80.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Uh oh....Squarehat, thanks for prompting me, I did some searching and I believe mezoom! had a post regarding problems with this particular strut bar.

BUT, NYC ES3 posted that HP Racing makes a $50 STB that worked with no clunking and perfect clearance for his 97-99 ES.

Maybe this will work for us 92-96 peepz?
This is the STB:

Hey Xenon,
I haven't posted on here in quite some time. I never did get around to clearing the tails, maybe I'll try again next weekend. Your car looks nice, looks very similar to mine. Oh, and I like the banner, I'm glad that it worked out well for you. As for your car, I like it, except for the red tails, that is one thing I would change on mine, I am going to go for the cleared tails instead of the red outs because of the smilarity between the early ninety's Buick Regal and the solid red tail lights. They look nice, I would just prefer the clear corners. I will take some pictures of my car so you can see how it looks since I haven't posted it in a while....
