Angry Metra Kit....Grrr

So last week I ordered a single din installation kit for my 93 es. I had read all about the Metra kit and how it didn't match the factory trim at all. I found a kit at autotoys.com (http://store.autotoys.com/cgi-bin/wf...52d8f5a5020674)and the description sounded good. This particularly caught my attention: "Textured to match Lexus Dash " Today i recived it and to my dismay opened the box to find a Metra kit that is clearly not textured to math the Lexus Dash. Any ideas guys?

Damn, u got ripped off. i made my own for a lot less then that.. REal wood also. And yeah those metra kits are really crappy and flimsy. Just iso mount it and make a kit for it. It is not to hard.

I got mine from my stereo shop here. It's finish matches that of the Lexus, but it's metal, not plastic. It actually looks good. But only has room for a single din unit.

I've had the Metra and another one from E-bay, neither match the factory plastic, but at least the E-bay one isn't as flimsy. I've got a plan to take care of the mismatch problem, hopefully be getting that taken care of within a month.

you can make one in an hour that matches the factory plastic exactly out of a small office trashcan from office depot for $5.
