tranny transformation
last weekend it happened, my tranny finally blew, smoke was everywhere, i almost cried.
when assesing if i should put a automatic back in i found it was somewhat cheaper and more fun to put a five speed in it, but a hell of a lot more labor to do it, since i've always wanted a five-speed i figure ill give it a shot.
i finally found a five speed today with all the extra's needed to convert it over, like the clutch slave, shifter, pedals, etc. etc, and since my dad and i are such automotive experts (ya right) we're giving it a shot in our own driveway.
we'll see how long and what kind of problems we'll run into, like the computer and speedometer...etc... hopefully it goes off without a hitch.
but if anyone has ever done this (which i dought, cause we're the only idiots cocky enough to do our selves) give us some advise.

If you are successful, then this will possibly (probably) be the first auto-to-manual swap for an ES300. There is another member attempting a swap on this board. They have a post over in the engine/transmission section. You might want to check it out and maybe get in contact with them so you all can help each other out. Good Luck!
