on ebay, Item # 2909686782 .... it says its the drag race mod, wont hurt anything in your engine and installs in 10 mins.....it can add up to 20 horsepower for 4 bucks.....umm, whats up here

 

i'm almost positive it's another phony ECU mod, where they take your ECU and "increase the horsepower" through the ECU, but when it really comes back, it's completely messed up, and doesn't work. i wouldn't trust it.

 

i kept lookin through the ebay list of things for an es, and another one came up.....some sorta intake sensor thats $3.99, another 20 hp

yeeeaaaa, thats a solid 40 hp for under 10 bucks jk

 

Yeah, this has come up before. Supposedly it's a resistor that you put in line that changes the air-fuel mix. Of course, using up more fuel is going to decrease your fuel economy. If you're really interested in the mod, do a search, there are instructions on which resistor to buy at Radio Shack to make your own for about $1.
The other "add 20 HP" I always see on eBay is a brochure that shows you how to do a timing advance.

 

do not think about it, its a 0.10 cent resestor that will not do ****, don't mess up your car over 4.00. check out the guys feedback....everyone will tell you that its a resistor from radio shack.
