Default rims for my 90 es250

What is the biggest but safest size rim I could put on my es250? And with what tire size. The car will still be on stock suspension. Nothing to crazy. Someone suggested 17 in. OEM lexus rims off another car. Right now it's on stock rims with a 195/55/15 tire

Stock size is 195/60-15 on 5x100 bolt pattern. Go with a 205/50-16 on a 16" wheel, anything bigger will compromise the handling and ride IMO.

that's what I was thinking, I sure was not going over 17 inch rims. We have to many potholes in Hawai'i.
