Custom carpets

Just wanted to share a recent improvement I made. I needed carpets, but the OEM carpets were priced too high. I read somewhere that you can get custom carperts made by any carpet store.
Indeed, for $55 they cut me exact made to measure carpets. I needed 15 minutes of work to cut 2 posters down to the size I wanted for a template, and they copied it.
Picking a specific carpet would've been more expensive as they have to order and then charge for a minimum of 12' x 3' but they had remnants from previous order that they sold for $20 + the labor fees.
I also have a couple of questions about the es 300 in general.
1. I have had mine now for about a month, and even with a full tank of 91 or 93 gas, my trip monitor says I get no more than around 275 miles with mixed highway/city driving. With a 18.5 tank, that's around 15mpg. Surely it can do better?
2. The drive is smooth on good pavement, but shakes and rattles on bumps and imperfections.
What parts need replacement?

One small thing I've learned is that when that thing hits "E" it's actually got at LEAST a few gallons, maybe more like five left. When I run it to E and then fill up, I can only put in about 13-14 gallons. I researched a bit and that seems to be about right. Do your math that way, dividing the miles on the trip meter by the amount of gas you're able to fill it up to the top with (and thus around the amount you actually used since it was last full), and it'll be closer to 18-20 MPG. 270-ish is about what I can get from F to E also.

I just bought some brand new OEM floor mats for my 2001 Lexus 3ES and am very pleased. I bought them on eBay from concordlexus. The total, with shipping, was about $110.
Once I got them I immediately applied ScotchGuard protectant on it a couple of times. Couldn't be happier. Here's the link to the item:
