Default Tire suggestions for '05 ES330

Greetings. I am wondering if anyone has recommendations for any tire that is better for this car than Michelin Primacy MX4. I have only owned the car for about 6 mos, so can't really speak to the wear factor. The MX 4s seem to provide a good ride and are fairly quiet, so can't say that I am dissatisfied but wondering if anybody else has any input. I have 215/55/17s.

Not being a tire expert, it also would seem to me that in order to get higher warranty mileage that the manufacturer would need to use a harder/stiffer compound, perhaps affecting the ride or quietness. Does that may sense?

Thanks in advance.

Michelin MXV4's all the way! Very quiet tire to match the smooth Lexus ride .

I just installed two 215/55/17's on my 2005 ES330 before winter. Got mine from TireRack.

I have the exact same car, exact same tire. Very happy with them, quiet, smooth ride. I have 50K miles on mine now, I will run them this summer then probably replace with the same thing this fall.

My car came with the same tires Primacy tires. After looking around on Tire Rack for other luxury car tires, it's going to be very hard to beat what you have now. The Primacy tires got very high marks across the board, including snow traction.

Here's the Tire Rack comparison page I looked at.

This past winter we got a good bit of snow. My Primacy tires tore through the snow like it wasn't even there. I never had the slightest bit of problems navigating through snow this year.

Also looks like Michelin just released a new tire this Janurary called the Michelin Premier A/S for luxury cars.

My personal recommendation is that you already have one of the best sets of tires out there on your car already. Going to be hard to find an overall better tire than what you have right now.

Thank you for the replies.

I actually spoke to someone at Michelin and they informed me that the Primacy MXV4 is discontinued and replaced by the Premier A/S.

Default Tires

I just put a set of Premier A/S on my 04 yesterday. Totally blown away with how quite my car is now. I got them at America's Tire Store and got a $70 rebate. Nicest tires I have ever had on any car!!!
