Default Low RPM on startup 4ES

Hello, I drive a 03' ES300 with 101k. I recently started it and noticed that upon idle my rpms drop abnormally low. It seems to stay constant at 400-500rpms both on a warm and cold startup. Also I have noticed a clicking noise coming from the engine that goes away at higher RPMs. This all seemed to occur at the same time.

I recently installed a 600watt 12" subwoofer and am looking to replace the rest of the interior speakers in due time, though currently I am only running the subwoofer. I suspect that the issue is electrical, but would like some outside opinions. Any ideas?

Check and clean your idle air control valve. It's most likely your culprit.

Took it to the mechanic today to diagnose and it turns out my alternator has gone bad. Ordered a new one on and am looking to install in this weekend. Could anyone point me in the direction of a DIY specific for the 4es?

Not sure about a DIY, possibly youtube, more than likely you'd find one for a camry over a 4ES. Here are the service repair manual instructions. Very simple.

Look's like you may need a timing belt job, no sticker on the timing belt cover.
