Default Headlight Problem. Please help!

Hi, I have a 2000 Lexus ES300. One of the turn signal light covers has cracked and has to be replaced. Where is the best place for me to purchase a replacement cover, and how do I install it?

Also, I have noticed that my headlight covers are all fogged up, and my headlights are very dim. What is the cheapest but most effective way to clean them?

Thank you for your help!

You can use this site to find used parts.
http://www.car-part.com

In terms of cleaning the headlight there are numerous videos on YouTube as to how it's done.

Removing the side light is easy. Same as changing the bulb. It's in the owners manual.

Buy a headlight restoration kit at you local Wally World or Peppys...... McGuires makes a good kit that is easy to use.
Check out Rock Auto for a new turn signal........ Installing it is easy.

When I restored my headlights, I went with a kit that was very highly recommended, the
Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit
. It's been about 8 months and they still look almost new. Took me about 1 1/2 hours, but the results were more then worth it. They looked like I had bought new lenses. And so far, the results are lasting, the clarity has only faded slightly. From a distance they still look like new.

The problem is, I don't know how to install the headlight cover. It does not say so in the user manual, and I don't know how to get it back in!

Please help!

Why are you trying to remove the headlight cover? If its yellowed, or cloudy, than you clean the outside not the inside. No need to remove it.

Are we missing something?

I am sorry for the confusion. You guys have answered my question about cleaning headlights. I have another problem. I had to replace a turn signal lightbulb, and I had to take off the cover. I replaced the bulb, but I couldn't get the cover back on (unfortunately I cracked it). I did find the part, but how do I put it back on? I tried looking in the manual, but it's not there.

Can someone help?

Just to clarify, when you say cover, do you mean the complete side parking light assembly, or do you literarily mean its outside plastic cover?

Ok, Now I understand.

Sorry I never had to do that. I thought that they are permanently glued on at the factory, and didn't even know that that cover is available separately. When I changed mine, I bought a complete assembly from the scrapyard for around $25.00

Maybe however someone else can chime in.
