Es300 '01 : Passenger side window won't work.
Hello Everyone.
I had problem last night when I needed to open my window, it just stopped on half way down and I pushed it until it went all the way down and wouldn't slide up. Now I can only hear the motor noise but nothing really happens and I see no motion from the glass.
I am planning to check it on this weekend, any ideas as what to look for will be very helpful for me.
P.S: I have no experience of working with this part of car, but I can do it.
Thank you very much.

It's most likely your window regulator. The only way to confirm the actual problem is to remove the door panel and visually inspect for the root cause.
There are several YouTube videos on how to effect a repair. There are also several threads here on how to remove the door panel.

I opened the cover and found the hard wire had jumped off the hinge. The motor was working fine until I somehow manged to connect the wire back, also I am not able to route the wire through one of the pulleys as it is too short now. I don't see the motor run as long as it did before. I do not know where I went wrong. Is there any timing to be set for this motor? how does it know when it comes to an end of the travel? Please help me.
Thank you very much.
