I love the car sugi ,the colour is sooo dope on a gs
how about a shot of the rear to see the dual exhaust and spoiler( i just took a closer look it is your trunk open)
nice to see a kit on an es that is in North America, so where are you located
oh yah nice year to pick also
is that you in the back or are they with the pt cruiser

in regards to the alternator
i tried to get mine rewound to a higher amperage from 8 different shops and all said there is barely no room to wind more in this one
domestics they said "have more space to add extra windings for increased amperage"
i think it is 90 amps stock and maybe up to 110 the most if rewound
but hey i am no alt expert and would only be more than happy to be wrong
please be the guinea pig for us

later

I think some places wind gererators (forgive me if I screw up the terminology) but how will I know they did it right????
Well, I've been pushed into action on this, my alternator almost died last night. He's replaced the 160 amp with a 200 amp small case that will bolt in with minimal modifacations. The pulley would line up exactly, but the adjusting ear may be 1/8" off so you'd need a few washers. Basically 3 wires to splice and you're done. Price is $279 plus shipping for the 200 amp, 1 year warranty. I'll put up a thread when I get it installed and let you guys know the details; don't want to take up any more space here with this topic.

Hey nautica, sounds like you got a nice set-up for your '93 ES. I love looking out for '92-'96 models that are modded to any extent, even though they're kinda far and wide around here. In fact, this morning I passed by a gold '92-'94 ES with 1st-gen SC rims and a tacky spoiler; it's crazy. Nautica, you planning to come to the track meet in Long Island on the 29th?

While my head is getting redone (i warped it) I'm getting a 3 angle valve job and ported heads. We'll see how it performs on monday -- the top end should be a little peppier than usual.

hey mcelliot
just a thought but maybe one cause of the engine problem might be the use of short intake pipe drawing in hot air?
if running nos and with a high temp of air ( since all engine bay air heated by the rad and engine)
it will cause combustion problems
have you looked into changing that with the new engine?

I'm probably going to ditch the nitrous after this is done -- one of my friends wants to buy the kit (yellow integra from the cover of sport compact car 4 or 5 issues ago). I had thought about having the engine shop to shave my block a bit to raise my compression while they're at it.

The meet is taking place off of exit 70 on the L.I. Exprway, pretty close to the Hamptons. It'll be at the Long Island Motorsports raceway. I believe most of us who live in Queens and the surrounding areas are meeting at an empty schoolyard parking lot off of exit 25 on the same highway. Here is the link for more info on the meet. Please PM me if you have more questions regarding the meet. So far, we have a total of 40-something cars coming to the track meet!
