At least the drives side is. The black rubber on the bottom is disintegrating. I've never seen car mats do this. should I replace them with oem or are there better aftermarket ones available?
Buy new OEM. Don't expect floor mats to last the life of the car. Just replace as needed, it's not that great of an expense to keep the car looking good, in my opinion.
To preserve the original mats I use a small mat (back seat) from a 1992-1996 Camry and place it where my feet go. Works great. The Camry mat is extremely durable as well it has held up for several years with my heel digging into it and minimal wear. The Lexus mats don't hold up as well.
