I think it looks good, is that a photochop or did you lower it? I don't always like the look of cars that are slammed way down on the tires with stock wheels, I've noticed more than a few over the winter in MN when everyone with any sense is back on stock wheels. I think yours looks good, it's not lowered too far, I think mine looks better right now than not lowered too, but my tires are slightly undersized (205/60) so I've still got a little more gap than I would on 205/65's.

Fendergap is pretty ugly no matter what wheels you've got, so I think it's an improvement on stock height as long as you don't go too low with stock wheels. You've got my vote in favor.

yeah, i photoshopped it, our front fenders are higher than the back ones. so if you lower both the front and back the same amount, then the front will still be higher. i would not lower anymore than 2 inches. probably only 1.6 in the back and 1.8 in the front.

looks awesome, eric. i'd say go for it.

oh and where would you find a lowering kit like what you want?
i've been looking to get an even gap between both front and back when i do lower my ES.
but all the kits i've seen for lowering springs are the same for front and back. i guess coilovers would work, but it's too pricey.

Looks good.

Only worry: if you lowered the car on stock width rims/tires, wouldn't the wheels appear to be too far inside the fender?

that's what i was worried about, was how the wheels would fit into the wheel well. but ive sorta tried this. i took my friend and her two friends home one time, from college. that's 3 girls and my stuff, and all their stuff. the back of the car was pretty much lowered, it looked awesome. except that the front was still up in the air. then there is a stock 97 es at my school, every time i see it i have to look twice to realize its lowered, but it looks really good and it is on stock alloys as well.

That's why I think it looks funny when your dropped too far on stock wheels. With a 1.6" to 1.8" drop, the ES doesn't look bad on stock wheels, although there is still a little bit of that effect where the wheels look too far in. I probably notice it more since I was used to the 18's that sat just right.

BTW, nice Photoshops.

i have a 95 es300 and have put eibach pro-kit springs on it. These springs lowered the car 1" front and back and i still have the stock wheels. The set-up looks really good. There is still some fender gap in the front but in the back, the gap has almost totally vanished. I still plan to get 18s sometime. I hope it will look even better then.
