Engine Stalling Briefly

Engine Stalling Briefly
Yes, I have a 2000 ES300 and it will drive smooth on and off. It will stall so often for one or two seconds while driving. This may be a consistent issue or just a once or twice thing every so often. I have replaced the Throttle Position Sensor and the Mass Air Flow Sensor and I am still having the same problem. Does anyone have a clue what is causing this or what can be done to correct the issue. Thanks for any help you can provide.

That could be so many things. Here's a few of the top of my head.
- a bad spark plug
- bad fuel pump
- bad fuel
- bad coil
- bad coil wiring
- bad crank sensors (or wiring)
- blocked air filter (leaves etc ?)
- intermittent vacuum leak
- bad vvti solenoid
- water in fuel tank (condensation)
- bad fuel injector(s)
a list like this is pretty unhelpful, my point is that you don't presently have enough information to attempt fix. The first think you need to determine is whether or not the stutter is caused by either fuel or ignition.

Thanks for your quick response. I have cleaned out the fuel tank and now only use premium gas. So that takes care of the bad gas and water in tank. The air filter has been cleaned and the spark plugs replaced. I am going to take it to AutoZone and get the codes because the check engine light has been on since I owned the car about 6 months ago and I have checked it before. I know that the Mass air flow sensor and throttle position sensor codes was on the list so I replaced them.
I will respond back after checking the codes and the other things you listed. Once again I appreciate your help.
