Default 01 ES300 Knock Sensor

Good evening folks, I currently have an 01 ES300 with original knock sensors NO CODE OR CHECK Engine Light and noticing somewhat bad fuel mileage... Can knock sensors become weak at high mileage on these cars!!? So much stuff has been replaced on this vehicle its ridiculous! Any input would be much appreciative!! And would it be necessary to replace the sensors even if no code is present in ECM.?

How many miles do you have and what kind of mpg are you getting now vs before?

131,000 on the original parts and not quite sure to be honest with you.

Winter blend fuel can cause bad gas mileage.

My theory is "Don't fix what isn't broken." The knock sensors on these cars are extremely sensitive and if you don't replace them with OEM, they are unlikely to work properly. I wouldn't touch them unless your car is knocking.

That being said follow this thread here for some help getting your mileage back:
