1998 ES 300 - What are the OEM parts not listed in the service manual?
Hi guys!
I've posted one other time about my CEL being on. For convenience I will repost the codes here. The Autozone guy may have written some of them down wrong, but here it is:
P0171 Bank 1 too lean x4
P1130 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) x3
P1135 Air/Fuel sensor heater malfunction
P1150 Air/Fuel (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P1153 Air/Fuel (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
These are for the O2 sensors. I think that is causing the following codes:
P0300 Random Multiple Misfire
P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire
P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire
So, I'm going to try to fix this myself by purchasing the following OEM parts for my Non-California specified 1998 ES300:
Denso 234-4622 Oxygen Sensor x2 (for Bank 1 and 2)
NGK (3452) BKR6EKPB-11 Laser Platinum Spark Plug x6 (for all cylinders)
But here is where I run into confusion. What spark plug wires are OEM? What about the three coil packs? What about the coil-on-boot things? Do I need the coil-on-boots if i buy the wires and the three coil packs?
From what I gather, the OEM wires are this:
But in the description there it says that some cars require 6! coil-on-plug boots. What is required?
OEM Part numbers needed for:
1) 1998 Lexus ES300 Spark plug wires
2) 1998 Lexus ES300 coil pack
3) 1998 Lexus ES300 coil-on-plug boot
4) MAF
5) The wiring clip / harness / housing / whatever for the coil packs and coil-on-plugs shown in this youtube video (for a 1995 ES 300)
Feel free to add your request for OEM part numbers for your 1998 Lexus ES300.
