Anyone have any experience replacing the rack and pinion. My 93 is having trouble turning. There is a lot of slack in the wheel. The last time I was at the mechanic he said the rack was leaking. I think I have lost a lot of fluid because it is steering so poorly. Anyone have this happen???? How hard is it to replace???

Once your power steering rack leaks, the only fix is replacement. A new rebuilt rack will set you a couple hundred plus labor. This is not a cheap or easy fix. Don't be surprised to pay at least $700 for labor and parts alone.
