Default 1999 ES300 Code P0441 Solved

Hi All,

Just wanted to add a short note that I solved a P0441 code (Evap purge flow incorrect). The problem turned out to be the purge solenoid ( Part number 90910-12150) mounted on the front bank fuel rail was stuck open due to some dirt in the valve. This valve is the leftmost one on the fuel rail as you face the car looking under the hood. Actuating the valve a few times with a 9 volt battery while blowing out the dirt fixed the problem. If that had not worked I was going to buy a replacement valve (Dorman 911-619) on amazon for 52 bucks or so, OEM part is over $100. Also beats replacing the evap cannister which would have cost over $300.

It's great to see people are still sharing their problems on this old car.
Glad you got it fixed and thanks for sharing.

Good Job!

Mine was actually the Vacuum Canister, I mistakenly blew HiPressured air thru port A which knocked off te one way valve, DOH!

But before that, the same port vacuum line was dislodged and throwing the error code.

Went to Pick a Part and $18 bucks later found a good one. I also found other good ones but they rattled which meant the retaining washer fell off and soon the valve will drop and cause a leak.

15+ years isn't old? Lol. Mine runs like brand new too. Doesn't mean it's not old.
I guess there are different interpretations of old though.
