2002 ES300 tire sizes
Hello,
I have a 2002 es300 Lexus and presently have 4 tires that are 215/55 r16. I have 2 of the 4 tires are pretty bald and I'm considering purchasing new tires, but I was told that I have the incorrect size tires. If I purchase all 4 tires NEW, I'm going to be paying about $500, but if I just replace the two back tires, it's about 1/2 the cost. Also, if there much of a difference if I purchase the 215/60 tires or not?
If I just purchase the 215/55 used tires, I'll spend even less.

If you're getting two tires anyway, go with a set of four in the proper 215/60/16 size. I wouldn't buy used tires. Better off buying inexpensive Kumhos or Hankooks. I found a set of 4 new Hankooks on ebay for 423 shipped. Don't **** around with sketchy used tires, IMO.

You can find most common size tires (215/60-16 is pretty common) for $400 installed if you watch sales, rebates, and such. You can get very good tires for that if you take a few weeks to shop and google specials, etc.
