Default Someone Keyed my car last night.

I woke up this morning to go to the gym and saw this on the hood of my car.

Before and After shots of the hood before using 3M Scratch Remover Plus & Microfiber Pad.
I unfortunately didn't take a picture of of the hood when it was cleaned, but still had the scratch.

Before Washing the hood and about a weeks worth of grime and bugs from the sunny Washington forrests

Still not washed, just another picture of the scratch.

The Products I used. 3M Scratch Remover Plus & Microfiber Pad.

After using 3M Scratch Remover Plus.

Close up to the scratch, after using 3M Scratch Remover Plus.

Close up with my finger pointing at scratch, after using 3M Scratch Remover Plus.

Nice write up and I am sorry that happened to you. My Lexus was keyed a few years ago very deep on my rear quarter panel. If you want to even make yours look less noticeable, I highly recommend Dr. Color Chip's kit. There color matching is perfect, and the technology they have is pretty amazing at making the paint flush with the rest of your scratch. You are going to want to seal the scratch with it so that you don't experience clear coat failure or additional paint chipping away, especially it being on the hood where it's subject to more abuse.

Additionally, I recommend Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, who are now owned by 3M, but it looks like your compound did a good job!

Besides my family's car being broken into, having your baby damaged like this is the absolute worst/infuriating feeling
