Default 2000 lexus es300 driver side trans-cv shaft bearing bad?

when i grab the metal body of the cv shaft that goes into the transmission on the driver side. i can wiggle it around but the passenger side doesnt. is this common? is this ok? is the bearing bad behind there? can the bearing be done pulling the shaft out and then theres a seal and retraining ring or something in front of that bearing ? thanks

also is the cv shaft worn if the end that goes into the wheel bearing flops down because a new one is nice and stiff and doesnt???
