My wife is driving to NYC. She said that since she stopped at a gas station on the NJ Turnpike, the ride has not been smooth (kinda bumpy). She said tires looked fine. What could cause this?

I'm in Maryland and she's now in NJ, so I can't check the tires myself ![Mad](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)
She said the bumpy ride started after she stopped at a gas station. I'm not sure how that has something to do with sudden bumpy ride

They may have checked her tires, and either overinflated or iunderinflated.

If it's at higher speeds you could have thrown a rim out of balance. This happened to my wife's car once and it would shake around 70mph.

It is possible with bumps, a wheel weight might have fallen off causing vibrations past 60mph. I got brand new tires once at costco and had to rebalance 2 days later after all the vibrations. I thought of a bunch of things but that particular issue was fixed immediately.
