Default Anzo headlights do not fit models with factory HID bulbs?

I just bought a 2004 ES 330 (74K miles). I am finally getting out of a 2004 Honda Civic, and to be honest, I feel like I need to do something custom on this ride to make it feel like mine, and to make the car look not so mid-2000's.

So please yell at me if these headlights are jokes, and only for ricers. But im looking for custom headlights and tailights, im only getting a select few (Anzo and CG). Any other recomendations are welcomed, but I created an acccount to ask this question:

When looking at the Anzo headlights, they all have this disclaimer: "Does not fit models with factory HID bulbs"

Does this simply mean that I need to change the bulbs out to something less powerful? Or put an additional part into this set-up (ballast?) to make it work?

The part that throws me, is the "does not fit MODELS" part...

Any help is appreciated!

The aftermarket headlight housings are not designed for an HID bulb. The way their projectors are engineered are for strictly halogen bulbs. That doesn't mean that you cannot put an HID kit in them, with the correct bulb type...but the performance will not be up to par with an actual HID projector.

When you see the word "Halo" those are just the CFL or LED rings that are on these units, which I personally find tacky and a mess beside properly done on a BMW.

The aftermarket headlights are not up to OEM quality, but are better than nothing if your original housings are severely damaged, otherwise I would recommend not going that route. I have seen several people purchase the LED taillights found online, but I personally am happy with 2006 taillights that I upgraded to.

Your best bet would be to have someone retrofit a set of headlights, or purchase a pair of OEM HID housings from the 2005-06 model which are pretty good.

I just finished retrofitting my housings, if you go a few pages back or search the thread you find it!
