Speaking of squeak, I have to fix mine too. Would it not be better to squeeze/press in some sylglide? The area seems very accessible. Regular grease is not good for rubber.

Yes, Silglyde would be better there. Even petroleum jelly would work great for that.
SilGlyde is good to have on hand to grease window tracks, door seals, trunk seal, sun roof gasket, etc. once a year. Will make all those work well and last forever.
And also squirt a little tri-flow or lock-ease in all your exterior and ignition locks 1x a year.
When first starting my car in the morning or not using the car for a bit, I get a squeak when I move the wheel. Sounds like a belt or something almost. Goes away after a little driving. Maybe when the fluid gets warmed up. Any idea what that is?
