Question Fuel Pulsation Damper ADJUSTMENT?

I was wondering, is the small phillips screw in the center of it an adjuster of sorts?

I was working on replacing the fuel injector and the yellow cap fell off and screw dropped out. I screwed it back in to what I felt was it's original position do to the evidence of a clean thread being inside the damper.

So is the screw an adjuster?

Thankfully it is not leaking but I want to make sure I did not put the screw in too much or too little.

If anyone has played with this part, please post.

TIA,

Jim

it's not adjustable. it's best to leave them alone. If it's damaged your car will run fine without it. It's one of those 10% better things.

It is just weird how the screw fell out when the cap popped off.

Others on the net have posted the same issue where the screw popped out. Some have screwed it in all the way, others only couple of threads and then some like me, half way in.

It is just an odd ball thing. Why it would have a screw in the center like that? Crazy.

Can anyone provide year and model or Lexus P.N. for the "yellow cap" depicted in the Fuel Pulsation Damper image. Thanks.

You cannot buy the cover separately that part number appears to be for a Corolla. 23270-62010 shows for the ES300 and many other V6 models.

An online search presents this part number as a Toyota MAP sensor....
