Pulling battery lead did not re-set Radio?
We have the error3 message in the CD changer. The "thump" method does not work this time; changer is full of discs.
I pulled the battery ground for about 1.5 hours as I had read that sometimes fixed it as it would "reset" in some fashion. It did no difference, but I wonder if it really re-set as the radio still retained all the pre-sets? What am I not understanding here? Thanks.

These audio systems seem to have non volatile memory, or a super capacitor or something because I've pulled my battery for several days and the radio presents were still there. As for your CD changer problem time to let it go and get a modern system. Having music on USB or streamed from your phone is so much nicer.

As far as inexpensive bluetooth, I use a CoolTree Bluetooth adapter from Amazon, it was less than $15. Awesome little device that has a built in mic to take phone calls on plus you can change songs from the device without touching your phone which I love. Plugs into an aux port, but if you don't have one you can always resort to the old cassette to 3.5mm then plug the bluetooth adapter into that

If you're looking to stream bluetooth : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...intensive.html
i had the error3 once for my CD player, it went away eventually after driving through some bumpy roads. haha, once i removed the CD that was causing the issue, the error never came back.
