I need some advice from the expert of this recurring tail-light alarm when the lights are turn on early in the morning and in the evening. The alarm goes away when lights are turn off while engine still running. The dealer just replaced the bulbs above the trunk this year at a cost of $45, the alarm cleared for a few months and back again.
How reliable these OEM OSRAM/Sylvania replacement tail-lights for 2002 ES300?
Part # 921- Backup light bulb
Part # 7443- Brake light bulb
Part # 7443- Tail light Bulb
Part # 168- Tail light Bulb Inner

you need to have a second person help you check if any bulbs are out. The icon on the dash means you one or more bulbs is out.
BTW, not sure about your year, but the previous years the harness that runs along the side of the trunk support arm was notorious for breaking, seems the wires inside that run to the inner tail lights would break over time.
osram/sylvania bulbs are good, I prefer them to GE/wagner replacements. The OEM Koito/Stanley bulbs are best but not all dealers carry them and you can't find them at walmart/autozone.
