cigarette lighter fuse
I seem to have shorted my ES300 fuse while plugging a DC->AC converter in ther plug, which fuse do i need to replace, my clock does not function, nor the socket for the cigarette lighter. Any help would be appreciated, dont want to have to take it to the dealer for such an easy fix (I assume). BTW I already searched for this topic and nothing came up.

you didn't state the year of the ES, nor is it in you profile.
If it were an 02-03, the cig lighter is fuse #35, 15 AMP.
There several fuses that are utilized by multiple components
ie, the clock is listed as part of the DOME fuse (#34 7.5 AMP), the GAUGE fuse (#40, 10 AMP) and the PANEL fuse (#49, 10 AMP). If any of these fuses were blown, there would be many noticeable failures.
Does your car have a 12V Power Outlet, maybe the converter is better here. However, this is also a 15 AMP fuse and it too blow.
If you don't have an owner's manual, the fuses are generally in the same place in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations (I believe).
There is a panel of instrument fuses behind the flip down coin box that is in the lower dash to the left of the steering column. Just look for the blown fuse(s). Replace with same.
good luck.
