Transmission issues.
Okay so I just switched out my lock up solenoid last night and put in a fresh transmission filter. Put the valve body back in reconnected everything as it had been when removed. After putting the car on the ground and putting in 4 quarts of dex 3/4 i went and started it and immediately noticed a high idle like 1500-2000. I took the car out of park and went through the gears. It went through most of the gears fine, but when I wen't to put it back in park I had to force it in place, the car was able to roll while in park as well. I need to figure out what may have gone wrong, and what I can do to get it working correctly.
The car is a 1997 es300.

The only thing that I can think of is that you may have disturbed or slightly moved the internal linkage which selects the gears / parking pawl.
Though my experience is based off a gm TH-350 transmissions.
