My 1998 ES 300 rear seal is leaking. Are there other items to check/fix while having this repaired. the car has only 98,000 miles on it.

May as well have the input shaft seal on the trans replaced while it is out, and replace any exhaust gaskets that had to be disassembled during the repair. Parts costs should be low and since they have it apart you should see a reduction in labor costs.

Great advice, it's worth it to replace anything degradable while you have something torn down that far.
