Help diagnosing driveline vibration
2002, 247k miles, well maintained. She complained the other day that there was a harshness in the car. I drove it today and there's:
- a shudder (slight) at slow speeds.
- Idling and braking, I can shift it into any driven gear and get a little vibration, disappears in Park or N.
- Visible fore/aft movement of drivetrain if I have someone stand on the brake and shift through the gears.
I am thinking a motor mount is finally gone bad (the "clunk" so common is also a tad worse than normal). Which one of these typically breaks, or both sides? I will get under it next weekend to work it out; no real opportunity to before then. Tad confused because when I look in a parts catalog, it only lists a R mount, no center or left for "motor mount"? The upper torque strut is good and was replaced a year or so ago. I am thinking the three mounts consist of a) front/right mount, b) transmission/left mount, and c) upper torque strut. Is that correct or am I missing one?
Any other thoughts? The transmission has been serviced periodically and is about 20k since the last complete fluid swap with MaxLife synthetic, shifts smoothly and correctly and only issue is light buzz only noticeable at low speed and idle.

Yes, my plan was to replace them all. I bought the two listed in the parts catalog and a new torque strut. Though the strut was new last year I see a small crack starting in it from the other bad mounts working on it.
I'll have to tear in there and replace the two I bought and figure out what/where/which the third one is; totally not clear from parts catalogs and that diagram. Oddly unclear and frustrating.
