I must have been under-caffeinated when I looked under the car on the hoist, the first time.
My stabilizer bar brackets are indeed bolted to mounts, much like yours I guess (hard to tell when they look like barnacles from the rust).
We did not get far. All the bolts are completely seized and just shearing off. Anyway, whoever the mouse was who did the bushings previously, they nicely rounded off the bolt heads for us. Thanks buddy, you're a true pro. [:wow:]
We ended up removing the bar completely and will tackle drilling out the bolt shafts and retapping in a few weeks.
Factoid/aside: Here in Quebec the use of four snow-rated tires is mandatory from Dec. 7 to April 7. This means that around this time each year, indy shops start to become inundated with people changing over their tires (if we get an early storm, all hell really breaks loose from that day onward). Consequently, most other services gradually become "urgent only" until the tire rush is over.

Corrosion-x is your best friend for things that are stuck. Everything else is a waste of time. I to am running barless, increased roll and understeer on asphelt but on gravel it is more tail happy now, I suspect it would be the same on ice, be careful.
