i just got a good deal on whiteline front sways bar, can i just put the front sway on w/o the rear sway....
i had read some thread about sway.. it said that front sway does give u understeer, but for some reason my 97 ES doesnt understeer that much(but does slide when i have extreme cornering...)....
is it a good idea to have just the front sways..?

they are still sitting in my garage... i m not sure should i put them on w/o the rear one..

Yes your ES does have understeer (explains the slide you have in extreme cornering) and the front sway bar will only make it worse. You probably haven't really pushed your car hard through hard turns or anything if you claim you aren't experiencing it. It's a bad idea to just have the front sways. Put the upgraded rear swaybar if anything. If you want the front one on, you need to put the upgraded rear one as well...otherwise you'll have a car with dangerous understeer.

Question for you, do you really understand what oversteer and understeer are? Just curious.

yes i does knw what understeer and oversteer is...
understeer- when your steering turn.. but the car wont turn... (keeping going straight)
oversteer- mostly on RWD like bmw,(i have experience with oversteer b4 which is scary)...when your steering turn, the ride turn more then normal. which become slide out.

i just feel i have more control over understeer than oversteer...oversteer is hard to correct...
also when i m cornering, i feel the front were not so stable(float), so i get the idea of only adding a front sway....
