Question I'm not sure If my heated seats work?

I just bought a 97 ES300 and I tried the heated seats...after about 3-5 minutes they get a little warm but I can barely feel it through my clothes. I touch the seat and it is not that warm. Is there like a control switch for it or something? In the manual it says to be careful because it can cause burns and uncomfort to some people. Are mine bad? Thanks

I have a 94 ES and I have to say that they take a while to warm up as well. Also, I thought that they would be warmer than they are myself. Anyone ?

Either the heating element is going out or a fuse controlling it is about to go.

Also keep in mind that it is about 60 degrees out right now where I live so maybe it is just becuase it is warmer out that it feels weak? Can I do anything about the heating element or fuse controlling with out spending too much? Thanks

i have the same problem i hardly feel them unless doing a highway drive for over 30 minutes the alternator is not putting full charge all the time for my problem
if i hook up a charger to the car it works real nice
the heat is much more than normal when driving the car
but i have never been in an es that had a good seat heater
i also don't intend to sit in my garage for heated seats
you might want to get a alternator test
try and do it when the engine is hot as there is a high heat resistance problem that occurs more at idle and hot
i haven't had time to take it to a rebuild shop to let them trace the inner cicuits of the alternator

The heated seats on my '94 ES was always very weak from the first day that I purchased this car new. I complained to the dealer about this and he told me that this was normal, so I learned to live with it. On the other hand the heated seats my new '03 ES works great. They must have improved something because of alot of complaints.
