Default My Es 330 is missing service reports on carfax..

So.. based on the carfax of my ES 330, it hasnt been serviced since 2010 @ 66k miles.. it currently has 101k. I read a thread about a guy that got his car serviced and it pretty much ruined the car. I dont want that to happen to me so what would be the best thing for me to do as far as maintenance? the car drives like a beast and doesnt seem like anything is wrong with it but who knows..HELP

Go to mylexus.com and set up an account to see what Lexus may have on the maintenance. Mine had tons of entries (all maintenance, not repairs!)

Welcome to Club Lexus! Yes these cars are amazing machines! If there is nothing wrong that you can sense at the moment than that's a great sign. Registering your VIN on the Lexus website will show you additional maintenance history if performed at a certified dealership. However, nothing major should've been performed for the most part. Around 100k people start to replace their timing belts.

As long as the timing belt has been recently changed and fluids are fresh, you should be good to drive the car many miles.

The best thing to do would be to actively respond to knowledgable people who want to help - like the really helpful folks above. Posting and ditching makes folks who can really help shy away.

Carfax IMO is a really useless service. It provides a false sense of security and relies on so many different services to provide information. My 2000 ES300 had a pristine report, yet a month later I found out that the hood had a different VIN on it than the body. So the car had been in an accident, and why it didn't show up on the report was because more than likely it wasn't reported to an insurance company, or it was, and Carfax is just unreliable.

Take those reports with a huge grain of salt. Also, the explanations on my report include "engine check", "electrical check", "vehicle serviced". All very generic and useless information.

Correct, it's a very incomplete source. It's good for preliminary screening of vehicles, nothing more.

I didn't know that Toyota / Lexus did the VIN stamps on its body panels for this generation Camry or ES.

Are there VIN stamps on the fenders too? I know Honda's have VIN stamps on everything, hood, fender, door, body, trunk, etc.
