I have a 1993 ES 300 that needs some suspension work. Let me start by saying I am NOT interested in lowering my car or gaining any significant amount of handling. Actually, I've noticed that my car has lowered with the passing of time. All I want to do is to get my suspension back to its normal Lexus ride height and comfort.
So...I need some recommendations from the experts here on this forum. I love cars, but I don't know jack about fixing them. That being said, I need to know if I need to replace struts and springs or just struts or just springs. I need recommendations on the best brands and where to buy parts at the most affordable prices.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance! I'm also looking for great deals on CV axles and chrome factory wheels. Please hit me back as soon as possible! Thanks.

Your OEM springs should be fine, as they don't lose their tensile characteristics too much over time. But the struts are beginning to sag, as it sounds like. Look into KYB or Tokico as replacements, since they will give a better support compared to OEM. You may also want to find out if the struts on your '93 are serviceable or not, that will determine how much you will spend. You can get price quotes from shox or tirerack, or any other vendors that carry those brands.

You have to change your struts if you want the same ride you had brand new. Expect to pay close to $500 bucks to install and replace your struts. Otherwise you're just gonna have to live with it.

I'm about to have new front struts put on my wife's SUV, they're expensive unless you're gonna install them yourself. You'll also want to get a wheel alignment. For our application, we got quotes between $580 & $750(alignment incl)- shop around.
