Timing belt / service question
Ok guys, How offten does the timing belt reallt need to be done? My dealer wants over $1,000 for the 60K mile service. I think that is nuts since I can do about 70% myself.

Every 60-90k miles is about right. $1000 for the 60k service? If I were you, bring it to your nearest Toyota dealer for the same exact service..and I guarantee you it will cost less than half of what you were just quoted. Most Toyota dealers here in SoCal will work on any Lexus vehicle. Especially those joint Toyota/Lexus dealerships.
