Well shoot. Always make sure the battery is good. Did it crash during the 16 minute countdown? What version of Techstream are you running? Version 12 works great for me.

@Mauser , quick question, i lost my original master key, but i still have the valet. ive already ordered 2 master keys from a dealership, now my question is, if i make a copy of the cut from the valet key into the master keys, then virginize the 93c56 chip, can i use those new cut masters to program them as master keys and still have the valet be the valet key?

Yes you should be able to do that. When you virginize the chip, it'll accept the first 2 keys as the master key, and then the third will be default as the valey.

Mauser , Kind of late perhaps, but wondering if you might still happen to have one more of the virginized 900 chips available? I have a 1999 LS400 with an ECU I messed up trying to do the electrolytic cap upgrade and bought a remanufactured ECU off ebay to replace it (the AC won't stay on after my messed-up mod work as it cycles off after 5 seconds). I need to sync my old keys to the new ECU and a virginized chip could help, I think. Charles

Hi Mauser,
can you confirm that this virgin dump is confirmed working on RX300? Do you know for which years RX300 it will work? These 70 77 bytes kinda unexpected, anyone has an idea what they're for? Used dump file does not contain these bytes, and also FB DF and 5A 69 bytes are in different sequence.

Yes I have used this dump many many times. I have used this dump for 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002.

Default What pins to short on OBD port for newer models?

First off thanks for all the work putting this post together, it looks to have helped a lot of people!

So I am trying to get my mom's 2011 Camry programmed to a new set of keys. Your post said newer models that have the separate transponder need a handshaking procedure first by shorting pins on the OBD port. Could you tell me which pins? Any other details would be appreciated. I tried finding the answer in your reference posts, but one link was not working anymore and I didn't see this info in the other 2. Thanks!

Hi Mauser , I am trying to get my mom's 2011 Camry programmed to a new set of keys.
At the end of
speedkar9's post, he said newer models that have the separate transponder need a handshaking procedure first by shorting pins on the OBD port for 30 minutes.
Do you know which pins these are? Any other details on this handshaking process before key pairing would be greatly appreciated. I tried finding the answer in
speedkar9's reference posts, but one link was not working anymore and I didn't see this info in the other 2. Thanks!

Default Found some info but still have questions....

Hi Mauser, sorry to bug you. I did find some info here: https://www.toyotanation.com/threads...1208642/page-2

So my question is after virginizing the chip, do I follow
speedkar9's procedure to program the 3 keys to the car first, then short the OBD pins for 30 minutes, or the reverse?
And it says after 30 minutes to clear the code with a scan tool. Is there any way that you know of to do this on a 2011 Camry without a scan tool?
Thanks!

My understanding is shorting the pins negates having to virginize the EPROM, I think. You can clear most codes by disconnecting the battery.

Hi LeX2K,
No it doesn't negate having to virginize the ECU, it's just an extra step needed on newer models because the transponder is in a separate location from the ECU and this step gets them to talk to each other again after swapping the ECU or viginizing it. Details can be found here: https://www.toyotanation.com/threads...1208642/page-2
That post is referring to a swapped ECU not a virginized one. But speedkar9's post says this is needed after virginizing the transponder chip EEPROM for newer models with a transponder chip separated from the ECU.
