Default Air vents

Hi, I have a 2005 ES330 the heat and AC isn't switching when I press the button for other options. It only blows out dashboard (face) vent. This weekend we tried to replace the bend door actuator but it was no need to replace it because it works just fine. Has anyone ever experienced this? Please help!

I don't have the exact answer to your problem but when I bought my '03 ES all the actuators did not work correctly. Instead of replacing (very expensive) I took them out one at a time, opened them up, cleaned them out, re-greased 'em, put them back together and they all worked. I used this thread as a guide as well as others that are referenced in this one:

All is good almost a year later.

Good luck.

The actuators or motors are probably faulty. Try to locate them to see if you can hear it move.

Sounds like a servo. I'm having a similar issue and replaced one on my daughter's 2001 RX300 which solved one problem (but I need to replace both servos and I've just ordered the other).

Now I realize that my wife's 2004 GX470 has an almost identical issue (heat/cold never get to my feet). I'm trying to find out which of the servo's is responsible. I've just completely replaced the radiator, waterpump, hoses, etc. and the cooling system is otherwise working great (and full ... no leaks). I do not, however, hear any grinding from the servo which is one of the symptoms my daughter's RX had. All fuses seem to be fine.

Default Servo

Here's a complete guide that helped me through the whole process:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ete-guide.html
It's not specific to your wife's vehicle but the mechanics are the same and the advice is sound. It also contains other threads about the same problems you're having. All the servos are awkward to get to but it can be done.
