I need to replace the shift bulb on my 2003 es, but I can't figure out how to get the bulb out. I can almost get to it, but I can't figure out how to get the wires detached and the piece that it is on free so that I can get at the bulb or see exactly how it is attached. Anyone have any advice or visual instructions? If this doesn't make sense I can post photos of how far I got.

I guess I'll answer my own question. Hopefully this is helpful to someone.

Shifting the stick back to neutral is enough to lift the plate over the stick.
From there, the bulb and socket can be turned out. I pushed the little locking bumps to do this.
The bulb will just pull out from the socket. When replacing with new one, take note of the little notches on the bulb and the contact points in the socket.
The green cap was sort of melted to the old bulb and wasn't useable anymore.
To get the bulb and socket back in, I needed to pry out the clear plastic from the back of the shift panel. One of the pictures below shows where.
From there you can snap the rest back together.
The bulb I used is part 90981-11040.
