Question Simple Modification Questions.

I am new to this thing, so bear with me. I have a '97 ES, and I want to clear my front corners. If anyone can give me step by step info, that would be great.

Also, I want to change out my taillights with '00-'02 lights. Anyone know how easy or difficult this is? And how much am I looking at spending on these lights.

Thanks for the help.

Do a search, both of these questions have been answered before.

Did a search. The majority of the information is on 92-96 models. I have a '97. The recommendations for the '97 are to buy them. I would like to do it on my own but I am having a problem getting that part of my headlight out of the car

Any suggestions?

Doing it on your own would be more risky, the only reason why us with the 92-96 have done this ourselves is because we cannot buy cleared headlights. Your signal is a seperate piece from the headlight, It unbolts and comes out just like the headlight. If you would like to clear them, I believe there is a picture somewhere of a 97 with the headlights out. Try and just look at the headlight, maybe you can tell from just looking at it.... that is how I took mine out.

Thanks for your help. I will take a look and see what I can do, you are probably right though. I should just buy the cleared lights and be done with it. Then my ride can hopefully look as good as yours!

Like I said, I am new to this thing....and I love it.

I will post some pics soon. I want to know what you think.

Thanks again

What's up MCV20.

That's the problem that I'm having, I can't get the corner housing out. I really want to get this done, but I can't seem to release the corner.

I will try some other things, and let you know what I figure out.

I will also post some pics early next week. I am expecting my new digi cam in the mail Thurs.

Thanks

in my light, i had to get a long flathead screwdriver and release a clip that was deep into the headlight. it was a circular clip that went into the metal and spread out some, so that it held the headlight in. just pry the headlight out with the screwdriver, but pry it right at the clip and the clip releases, if you do infact have a clip...
