1996 - Solenoid Valve/Hydraulic Fan System
My 1996 ES300 is overheating at idle, with the A/C on, during hot temperatures. It appears that the hydraulic cooling fan is not speeding up when needed. I've read that a common cause of this is the connector that plugs into the power steering pump solenoid, and that it may be disconnected or damaged. I believe it's a white plug that looks like the below.
My question is, what is the easiest way to access this connector? Can it not be easily accessed from the top of the engine, or do you have to take off the right front wheel?

There is no easy access but you'll need to inspect the connector from under the car taking off the RH wheel helps.
