I purchased an air conditioner cleaner kit for my car (95) and it seemed to have helped the mold smell in my car but also wiped out any cold air from the car. My air conditioner was working great with the exception of the mold smell and after I added the cleaner to the L pressure air whatever (instructions said to) my air took a turn for the worst. Did I screw up my air conditioner or should I just get the coolent and stuff drained and recharged again?? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Drain the old coolant!! You shouldn't add these bogus additives to coolants. Moldy smells don't come from coolant. They come from the evaporator. Air from the fan motor blows across the evaporator coils. I think you're a little mixed up about how an air conditioner works.
P.S. There are products to put in the ducts to alleviate the mold smell.

This will turn into about a $100 lesson as you drain & refill the AC with refrigerant (Freon). Be honest with the repair shop about what he's draining. He is required by law to recycle the Freon. He may not want to put your contaminated Freon in with the "clean" stuff.
