The last few pair of brake pads I have bought have been Raybestos ceramics from RockAuto. They were fairly inexpensive and work very well (excellent grip, little dust). Raybestos markets two grades of ceramics, "service" and "professional." I have used both and can tell no appreciable difference. I would not use semi-metallic or organic, especially on the front.

There are many good pads out there; you will not go wrong with others.

I have about 10,000 miles on new Akebono Pro ACT pads (+new Centric Premium Rotors) from Rock Auto. Work fine, low dust, and not noisy

A note about my particular order from Rock Auto - the manufacturers box it came in was taped - sure enough 1 pad of the four was different and had to return/resend the order to me. I have purchased other items from rock auto with no problems.

I used to always be an akebono person, have recently switched to powerstop pads and I'll be honest I don't think I'll buy anything else. They dust a bit more, but have much better initial bite. I have them alround on my 2004 ES with the cheapest rotors on rock auto and the car stops great

I seen a couple good reviews on akebono pads. one of their claims was that it created less brake dust which is what caught my eye, so i spent the extra $$ to see how they were. After two days of washing my car... other side looks the same. picture doesn't fully capture it, but lets just say i'm not impressed at all.

thank you all for your replies.
somehow I got bad experience with rockauto before, they shipped me wrong parts and replaced twice, and anyway I didn't get OEM unopened boxes.

any comments about http://www.trademotion.com/ and belllexusnorthscottsdale ?
