Default '99 + Solara springs for ES300???

I'm looking to purchase the Tein S-Tech springs for my '97 ES300. Tein offers these springs for the '99 and up Toyota Solara MVC20, however, they are not listed under any other application. Just want to make sure that these will fit my ES. I've always been told that all suspension components from the V6 Camry/Solara will fit the ES...just want to be sure before I place the order.

If anybody else is interested, the springs provide a 1.7" drop FRONT and 1.4" drop REAR. They can be purchased at Import Auto Performance for approx. $160

It will work. It's the exact same chassis and suspension.

Thanks, flipside!

Do you know if the curb weights of the ES300 and Solara are the same, or at least very close? Obviously, if the ES300 is much heavier, I'll end up with more of a drop than advertised for the Solara. I want to avoid this! I don't want more than the advertised 1.7F and 1.4R drop!

Anybody happen to know the stock spring rates for the 1997 ES300??

If you want to avoid the 1.7" drop...go with the Eibach pro kit for the Solara. 1.6" all around and it works just fine. Do remember with any performance spring, they will sag to it's permanent position overtime.

The ES300 is not heavier than the Solara. They're at 3300lb curb weights each.

I'm fine with the 1.7" drop, I just don't want it to be any more than that. I've used Tein S-Tech springs in the past and really liked them. I was glad to see that they came out with something for the MCV20 chassis. I also think the staggered drop, 1.7F and 1.4R is just what the ES needs.
